News: Final Results! – Sam DeLuca is the 2008
Club Champion! John Mihlik and Marty Cutler tied for the Phase III Championship! New Club Records in our Statistical Categories were set this year
by: John Mihlik in Gross Scoring Average; John Mihlik in Greens in Regulations; John Mihlik in Up and Downs; John Mihlik in Average Score on Par 4’s; Alex Garcia in Average Score on Par 5’s; Greg Bisson in Fairways Hit; and Peter Kenny in Putting on All Holes. In our Skins Games, George Faro captured the Net Skins crown for
the third straight year, and this year tied John Mihlik for the most Gross
Skins points. Rob
Peason captured the White Tee honors for Low Gross and Low Net from that tee
box. That single round gathered $85.00
for the Peason strongbox and matched the Club Record here at Hyatt Hills. Alex Garcia carded a 38 on the final day of the season to take
Low Gross honors from the Blue Tee.
George Faro’s Net 29 was the Low Net for the year from the Blues and
matched our Club Record. Sam DeLuca and Bob McGuinness reached the Finals of Match Play and
contested the Championship over 18 holes at Fiddlers Elbow with Sam taking
the crown 3 & 2! Congratulations.
Pat Lynch & Peter Haupt finished in third place to round out our
finalists for the 2008 Match Play Season. Congratulations
to each of these members for their accomplishments! The “League Week” is Monday to Friday, unless there is a rainout
on Wednesday. In the case of a Wednesday rainout, the “League Week” will be
extended through to the following Monday.
This allows a make-up round to be played over the weekend and on that
Monday. A round posted on that Monday
cannot count for both weeks, but someone who had a successful round the week
before can play on that Monday for their now current week’s round. Please note that your handicap is not updated until everyone has
posted their scores for the week. This
is more important when you are involved in Match Play. If you are playing a Match and the
handicaps have not been updated because of a rainout, or whatever, use the
prior week’s handicap for each competitor. Best regards to you all. |
