Match Play
Seeding
Everyone will have 2 positions on the grid, but will be seeded by lottery draw.
Because there may be more than 16 members, some will have to play in qualifying round (Q-Round) so that everyone gets their 2 positions.
The attached Match Play grid will be the schedule we will be following.
If there are 20 members, then 40 slots are required, with 19 members we need 38, and so on.
The example will use that field of 36 entries (18 Members).
In the first year, everyone's name will go into a lottery draw for positions on the grid.
Winners in matches 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 will have guaranteed slots for the subsequent year's competition and those individual entries will not be included in that year's lottery making them exempt from Q-Round placement.
The 18 members will fill slots 1-18 with their first entry.
The two members who pulled # 17 & # 18, will pull the first numbers from the "Dark Green" Bracket in the series between # 21 and # 36.
The balance of the members will pull the remaining numbers and will be seeded accordingly.
Format
Single Elimination Format (but you are in twice)
These are 9 Hole Matches to be played at full handicap allowance.  If extra holes are necessary, strokes are to be given as fall on the card.  A match is to be completed on the same day it is started if there is adequate light to continue.
Order of Play:
While members may have two matches that they know they have to play, they can only get a "miss" on one match in any given week.
Q-Rounds are scheduled first; if you are in one of these rounds, and are absent, you will get a miss on the lowest numbered Q-Round only.
If your opponent has a Q-Round Match to play; your match is a provisional; and you do not get a miss if you are absent.
If you and your opponent are not in a Q-Round, the member(s) absent for the lowest numbered match; will get the "miss".
All League Days have scheduled matches.  The League Day is Monday OR Wednesday.
If a member is scheduled and misses two (2) match dates, it equals a disqualification, if both members accumulate their second miss in the same week, they are both disqualified and a BYE advances.  A rain out is the only day that does not count as a miss.  Members should reschedule a round for later in the week.  There is no requirement that the match be contested at Hyatt Hills.
